It’s That Time of the Year!

I can’t believe we are almost at the end of 2024. It’s been another year of growth for R2RB. We are always grateful to those who have been with us from the start of our journey and those who have joined us this year. We started on this journey two years ago in November, and what a ride it has been.

In the beginning, we didn’t just have a few bumps; we had potholes that we fell into and weren’t sure if we could crawl out of. The first pothole we had to maneuver through was the design of our website. We were so excited to be working with a big-name website company to help us bring our vision of our website to life. Everything was working well until the final edit of the website, which looked nothing like what we were expecting.

Can you say, learning curve? A very big learning curve! Even though we had many good reviews on what the original website looked like, we knew that it wasn’t what we wanted, and what we had paid for it was a hard lesson learned. We went with what we had and launched our website after the new year. We were on our way.

Well, we were on our way, but with so many glitches with our main server through the first year, we didn’t know if we would continue and make it through our first year. Fortunately, almost everyone, starting with us hung in while we tweaked away. Finally, the server glitches were fixed, and we couldn’t have been happier.

There still needed to be a solution with the look of our website. We decided to take the plunge and have it redesigned. Sound the trumpets because we had a fantastic web designer, Lynn Hawthorne, of Physis Publishing, who took the time and asked the right questions about our website vision. We were so excited when Lynn had our first draft of the new design ready for us to review. Finally, the redesign was what we had envisioned! Our new design went live overnight in a

short time, without even a wrinkle! We can not thank Lynn enough! Not only that, but we have Lynn as our “maintenance person” every month.

The moral of the website story is that even though we worked with a well-known company and paid top dollar for our original website, you should take your time and research before making a decision that will affect your business!

Between significant glitches in the first year, a new website design, and losing a few residents, we didn’t give up the desire for a platform for DJs/Podasters/Talk Show Hosts to have a place different than your social media platforms to showcase their work. We won’t take down your show because, on R2RB, it is all about the artists and what they bring to the network. Even if you have explicit material, we also have a place for that.

We have had major growing pains, but fortunately, neither has quit on the same day. So, until then, we will keep growing R2RB one step at a time.

We want to thank those who are part of the R2RB family:
